Temporary Admission Representative

As a temporary admission representative, you will report directly to the senior director of on-campus events and visitation to identify and recruit the highest quality students for all university locations while aiding with on-campus initiatives as needed. You will also counsel prospective students, encouraging application submissions and enrollment to meet admission goals. This may include providing admission tours and presentations; you must then track attendance via check-in. It is crucial that the representative build an excellent network of teachers, counselors, students, parents, and alumni to benefit the college through outreach programs.

Among other duties, you will be responsible for prospect outreach via phone calls, emails, and text communication. Virtual recruitment is also a requirement, connecting with prospects via Live Agent and virtual information sessions. Other responsibilities may include helping the admission department for staffing coverages and admission/campus events as needed.

The ideal candidate will maintain timely communication with prospective students for follow-up through various means. The candidate will also take an active role in admission trainings to develop strong partnerships with admission advisers to involve them in the recruitment process. Occasional travel and evening or weekend work may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced customer relations skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Presentation skills for large audiences

Preferred Qualifications:
  • SCAD experience
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver's license

Travel required: 10-20%

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
