Professor of Art History

SCAD Atlanta seeks a full-time professor of art history to provide students with the expertise to investigate and explain the complex relationships between context and cultural production.

As a professor of art history, you will join the SCAD team of more than 40 highly credentialed art history professors from diverse backgrounds to motivate students to think creatively and critically in an active and engaging learning environment. In art history coursework, you will help students gain a curiosity for creative inquiry, invention, critical thinking, and visual analysis. You will also guide students as they navigate historical and contemporary expressive practices through critical encounters with art, artifacts, and other forms of cultural production.

Located in the heart of midtown, SCAD Atlanta is nestled within a cultural landscape that is home to theaters, museums, fine art galleries, bustling shops, and countless green spaces, including Piedmont Park and Atlanta's famed BeltLine.
