VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN EAST ASIAN

ART HISTORY 2023-24

Scripps College, a women's liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a one-year non-tenure-track position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History. The teaching load will be five courses for the year, plus advising on senior theses in the spring semester as necessary; courses will include a survey of the Arts of China, a survey of the Arts of Japan, and three seminars on topic in East Asian art history from any time period. Courses will be offered in the Program in Art History at the Claremont Colleges. Ph.D. and teaching experience in East Asian art history required.

The salary for this position will range from $59,513 to $66,125 and will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
