Employee Development Coordinator

The employee development coordinator will actively contribute to projects focused on aligning learning and development solutions for faculty, staff, and university leaders while collaborating on the design, development, piloting, delivery, and evaluation of innovative training and leadership development programs that support SCAD employees' performance and growth. This position has the responsibility of managing and executing deliverables, as well as tracking and reporting on program/project status, timeline, and action items. You will assist with preparation and delivery of training programs including staff development, leadership development, required internal trainings, and coaching and mentoring programs along with supporting employees' completion of all annual required training through SCAD HR online trainings in Blackboard.

In this position you will conduct follow-up surveys and evaluations of all completed trainings to evaluate and measure results utilizing assessment tools and will plan, organize, facilitate, and order supplies for employee development and training events. This position also includes performing administrative duties such as class preparation, schedule administration, and participant record maintenance. You will manage the training calendar and traininganddeveloment@scad.edu email account including room reservations, coordinating schedules, participant requests, and online registrations. The employee development coordinator will complete orders for catering, transportation, physical resources, and all supplies/materials.

The employee development coordinator will assist in the review and implementation of communications campaigns that inform, educate, and influence internal audiences including employee experience, leadership, benefits, and general employee information. You will ensure that SCAD editorial style is followed and review a variety of content with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and representation of the SCAD brand. Acting as day-to-day project manager for internal employee communications for HR and training is required along with reviewing and editing email copy, internal HR website content, and HR collateral to ensure accuracy. The individual in this position will prepare dashboards and reports, implement changes to the HR and training website, and manage social media schedule systems while tracking the content calendar and outreach. You will also update HR PDF files on an annual basis and on request.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least five years of experience in training, event planning, communications, higher education, or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrate end-to-end program/project management experience (from conception and initiation to planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close)
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office skills and ability to produce deliverables with accuracy and excellence
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all leadership levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, Qualtrics, Blackboard, instructional design, and social media management

Travel Required: Less than 10%

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
