XR Production Manager

As the XR production manager, you will ensure that SCAD's XR studio operates according to high industry standards in terms of studio use, production management, and crew protocol. You will coordinate faculty and student crews, communicate regularly with industry purveyors of XR technologies, update safety plans and policies for the SCAD School of Entertainment Arts, maintain a detailed project calendar for productions using the Louisville Road Studio, control and coordinate the expenditures of the studio, and monitor key departmental data. Among other duties, you will give tours of the building to high-profile guests, build relationships with professional clients (e.g., top TV networks, major film studios, gaming companies, animation studios, music recording and production studios), create and manage a menu of services available for professional clients, anticipate trends and recommend strategies for implementing new services (or incorporating trends into existing services), and travel to other SCAD locations, especially to build relationships with film and television industries in Atlanta and elsewhere.

The successful candidate has a strong combination of business, production, and client-management experience backed by excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to effectively manage projects and calendars in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.

Minimum qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in film and television production or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience running a visual effects stage at the feature-film level
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine
  • Knowledge of visual effects pipeline and production process
  • Proficiency building computer networks in film and gaming environments

Travel required: 10-20%

Work hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are
open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business
