As an office production assistant, you will report directly to the video production manager and production coordinator and will assist with the department's daily administrative duties. You will work closely with the production team to set up shoots, ensure projects have the proper support needed (e.g., freelance crew and vendors, models, SCAD reps, Work Study students), and create call sheets to distribute to the crew. You will secure permission to shoot in and outside of university buildings and properties, maintain the shoot calendar, and secure and submit personal, location, and materials releases prior to shooting.

Among other duties, you will serve as the point of contact for shoot details (e.g., project description, details, times, shoot locations, contact information, etc.), send and secure crew start paperwork and identification documents, and manage logistics for annual SCAD events. You will also work with the production coordinator to order crew meals, set up transportation, secure craft services, confirm parking locations, and more.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Professional experience at a television or film company, both on-set and in-office
  • Knowledge of Mac computers, Microsoft Office software, Zoom, and Slack
  • Professionalism, creativity, and enthusiasm

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Higher education degree in a related discipline
  • Interest in becoming a primary contact or production manager
  • Understanding of the production process
  • Professional experience work in a production management department, logistics set up, and managing a team that creates short-form videos

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
