Director of Social Media, Executive Media

As the director of social media for executive media, you will assist with all facets of production, tracking, and reporting for social- and digital-first photo, video, audio, and new media initiatives for the university president. You will maintain meticulous organization of the media production and creation process, assist with daily administration of the department, and work collaboratively with other team members to keep the department on the leading edge of creative content. You will brainstorm, pitch, implement, and track cross-channel social media content, calendars, and analytics; oversee highly responsive community management, serve as a subject matter expert in the social media space, and prepare regular cross-channel reports to ensure optimal performance on social media. Among other duties, you will also implement on-site social media, photo, and video projects.

The successful candidate has a keen eye for detail and forecasting trends in social media. Highly organized and timely, the candidate always exhibits professionalism in both appearance and demeanor and is well-versed in the newest digital media formats and best practices. Exceptional interpersonal communication, both written and verbal, is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
  • Five to seven years of professional experience in social and digital media production, content, and strategy, as well as film and photo production, podcasting, and new media communications
  • Ability to work outside office hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Ability to travel to other SCAD locations

Preferred Qualifications: Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver's license

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
