Assistant Director of Admission, Latin America

SCAD seeks a motivated assistant director of admission to build relationships and create networking opportunities for students, teachers, counselors, parents, and alumni in an assigned territory in Latin America.

In this full-time role, you will represent SCAD at strategic-fit public, private schools and universities to meet with prospective students, teachers, counselors, and parents in your assigned territory. Through individualized attention, presentations, information sessions, school-specific events, and other recruitment activities, you will advise prospective students on SCAD programs that best match their interests and abilities, and answer questions about the admission process. You will participate in LiveAgent and online chat sessions throughout various points in the admission cycle, and encourage prospective students to visit SCAD locations and to apply. You will also act as liaison between SCAD and organizations of interest in your assigned areas for potential partnerships.

You will stay up to date on all SCAD policies, procedures, locations, programs of study, scholarships, housing and financial aid, study abroad, and other opportunities. Among other duties, you will also support the advising team throughout the year contacting applied student lists, assisting with advising-specific events, and with other administrative duties as required.

The successful candidate must be a spectacular written and verbal communicator, with equally exceptional interpersonal skills. The ability to deliver dazzling presentations and stay organized is a must, and the candidate should also thrive as an independent contributor. Experience with Banner and Microsoft Office software is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Knowledge of the web and web-based technologies


Preferred Qualifications: Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency

  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid passport


Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
