Posting Text: SCAD seeks a confident content creator/producer to join its visual media department team in historic Savannah, GA.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for assisting the film/video director in developing film and video projects that are based on the overall strategies of the visual media department. These projects will communicate SCAD's brand, goals, and stories in film. You will research, ideate, pitch story ideas, develop technical filming approaches, and produce approved concepts into finished films. You will observe trends on social platforms to make shareable and relatable content, present mood boards and visual references, manage story arcs, and motivate actors or interviewees to produce their best performance.

As a content creator/producer, you will hire and appoint members of the technical crew and cast where appropriate, as well as work within budgetary constraints to prepare a strategy for production support materials (e.g., lighting, shot selection, story treatment, etc.) and film shoots. You will also work closely with the videography department to executive high-level imagery and provide on-screen coaching to actors and interviewees, among other duties. This position requires daily driving to shoot locations around Savannah using a personal vehicle, with the possibility of driving aSCAD-issued or rental production van to transport heavy equipment or while at offsite national/international locations.

The qualified candidate has a strong creative mindset and can effortlessly manage multiple projects at various stages of production without sacrificing quality. The candidate should have significant experience managing budgets, directing, and strategically creating elevated imagery that conveys a complete concept or story. Exceptional interpersonal skills are paramount, as is an enthusiastic and positive approach to feedback and collaboration. A strong working knowledge of the latest editing techniques and equipment is essential, as is a desire to continually seek inspiration, research, and provide recommendations that keepSCADvideo content on the leading edge. Experience with audio mixing software is strongly preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
Minimum of five years of relevant post-production experience in film, television, information technology, multimedia, and/or broadcasting
Expert-level proficiency in Avid Media Composer
Ability to work outside office hours, including weekends and holidays
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
