Professor of Film and Television

SCAD seeks an expert in cinematography, film lighting, and camera operation to join its team of dedicated film and television professors in Atlanta. Drawing on your professional experience and the creative studio environment of SCAD Atlanta, which features resources and technology that rival professional studios, you will guide students as they, too, become experts in film and television production.

Students in the SCAD film and television program mirror the practices of professional studios as they collaborate with peers from across disciplines such as dramatic writing, production design, performing arts, sound design, visual effects, and more. The compelling and powerful visual stories of students have captured the hearts and imaginations of audiences at festivals around the world, including the Tribeca Film Festival, Sundance, Cannes, and SXSW, among others. SCAD student filmmakers have also been recognized by The Television Academy Foundation, including the 2017 Student Emmy Award for Best Scripted Series for the university's live-action comedy, “The Buzz.”

Located in the heart of Midtown, SCAD Atlanta is home to a dynamic cultural landscape that includes theaters, museums, fine art galleries, bustling shops, and countless green spaces, including Piedmont Park and Atlanta's famed BeltLine. MovieMaker magazine named Atlanta one of the best cities in which to live and work as a moviemaker, evidenced by Georgia being among the top global filming locations and having had more top feature films released in 2016 than any other place in the world. With movies and television shows continuously filming throughout the state, productions continue to find film-ready crews comprised of SCAD students and alumni, many of whom work on real productions long before graduation thanks to the guidance, connections, and leadership of experienced faculty.
