The events planner will develop new concepts, plan new and existing events, execute day of events and reconcile results at close of event. Events vary from year-to-year and include both annual and project based SCAD events. Attendance of major events is required. Travel will be necessary.
Position Summary: SCAD seeks an enthusiastic events planner to join its team full time in historic Savannah, Ga.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors required in related field • Two+ years related experience in events or conference coordination • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Excellent communication skills: writing, listening and speaking. • Ability to work weekends and evenings • The ability to travel to all SCAD locations and SCAD signature event locations • Ability to work in fast paced environment, managing several task simultaneously • Highly motivated, positive, flexible, self-starter with outstanding organizational and time management skills works well in a team environment • Vendor management experience preferred • Valid driver's licenses with reliable transportation

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
