Transfer Adviser

As a transfer adviser, you will be responsible for transcript evaluations for all transfer students, including AP transcripts, CLEP results, International Baccalaureate transcripts, and more. You will meet with students to review transfer evaluations, credits, and portfolios; register transfer students into classes for their chosen major(s), and review current students' courses for transient approval. You will also register non-degree seeking, transient, certificate, and joint-enrolled students. Among other duties, you will also evaluate catalogs from other colleges and universities and participate in phone-a-thons, Live Agent, and online chat sessions to reach students at various points in the admission cycle. On occasion, you may be asked to travel for recruitment and admission events.

The successful candidate demonstrates exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, and has a keen eye for detail. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Banner and Salesforce

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver's license

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a..m to 5:30 p.m. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
