The Department of Genetics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of computational biology and/or biomedical informatics as applied to human genetics and genomics. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include participating in graduate and medical school education.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing and carrying out an independent research program.

The Department of Genetics and the Institute for Biomedical Informatics comprise a basic science faculty with diverse investigative interests and close affiliations with clinical departments at Penn Medicine as well as the neighboring Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Wistar Institute. A joint appointment at the Department of Computer and Information Science School of Engineering may be offered to suitable candidates.
