Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Anesthesiology with a focus on Pediatric Anesthesiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. ABA certification with subspecialty certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology and Pennsylvania licensure required.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching both in our formal didactic lecture program as well as in the informal teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows in the Operating Rooms and other non-OR anesthetizing locations at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) University City and King of Prussia (KOPH) hospitals as well as participation in lectures, small groups, workshops, and/or simulation sessions.

Clinical responsibilities may include include direct patient care and medical direction in the Operating Rooms and other non-OR anesthetizing locations at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) University City and King of Prussia (KOPH) hospitals.

The major emphases of the Academic Clinician track are clinical care, quality and safety, and education.

Primary practice is located at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Opportunities are available in general anesthesia practice and pain management. Experience in pediatric anesthesiology and teaching of residents and fellows required.
