Job Description Summary
The YQCA Basketball Associate will coordinate logistics, communications and operations with Men's Basketball players and coaches for their participation in the YQCA program. The position will also provide direct service support at practice engaging K-8 youth and Penn players.

Job Description

The YQCA Basketball Associate will coordinate logistics, communications and operations with Men's Basketball players and coaches for their participation in the YQCA program. The position will also provide direct service support at practice engaging K-8 youth and Penn players.

Your specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support YQCA Basketball operations including practice planning, special event coordination, equipment, ticketing
  • Coordinate, engage and support Penn Athlete basketball volunteers
  • Engage K-8 students in academic and enrichment activities
  • Implementation of proper Netter UACS Policies and Procedures
  • Attend all trainings and meetings as required
  • Assist with other duties as assigned
  • Demonstrating positive youth and community development principles at all times


Qualifications:
  • A High School Degree/GED or higher
  • 1 years to 3 years of experience in sports-based youth development or related field (i.e. teaching)
  • Experience working with urban youth preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of basketball required
  • Completion of Federal and state background checks/clearances required
