As a member of HireIT, the IT Support Specialist provides our clients with top-tier support and consulting through support of HireIT intake and dispatch. Diagnoses and resolves complex technical problems with computing hardware, software, and network services. This position also serves as an Imaging Specialist and Queue Coordinator for HireIT's critical endpoint imaging function.

Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities As a member of HireIT, the IT Support Specialist provides our clients with top-tier support and consulting through support of HireIT intake and dispatch
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex technical problems with computing hardware, software, and network services


Serve as an Imaging Specialist and Queue Coordinator for HireIT's critical endpoint imaging function
  • Coordinate the Endpoint queue and imaging process
  • Requires regular reporting and successful partnerships with the Endpoint Manager, the HireIT Administration functional area, and HireIT Operations Managers
  • Maintain client relationships to curate knowledge that informs queue prioritization (by determining which computers to image first)
  • Responsible for training staff to participate in the imaging process and ensure that procedures are followed properly and efficiently


Other duties include equipment lifecycle management
  • Updating images
  • Managing image storage
  • Tracking computer assets from receiving to deployment
  • Coordinate equipment recycling


Assume ongoing responsibility for specific services, and complete other project work as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Familiarity with BigFix, managing Active Directory via delegated Administrator Role Separation (ARS), and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) is required; however, experience is preferred
  • Experience configuring, deploying and supporting client systems in a highly managed environment
  • Experience providing technical support for contemporary client operating systems (Macintosh and Windows) and productivity applications, preferably in an academic computing or professional services environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a client-centric, technically-focused environment
  • Ability to adapt to a changing and variable work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to present technical materials clearly
  • Organizational skills: the ability to create and keep deadlines, delegation, goal setting, and queue coordination
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of clients and colleagues, delivering exemplary technical support and mentorship
  • Ability and commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive materials
  • Ability to both lead and work in support of others to produce best outcomes
