The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D./Ph.D degree. Board certified/eligible in General Internal Medicine is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include participating in the Perelman School's outstanding educational programs at the UME, GME or post-graduate level.

Clinical responsibilities may include direct patient care in either the inpatient or outpatient setting with the expectation of maintaining an active clinical practice.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include building a research program in areas of high relevance for general internal medicine, including but not limited to health services and policy research: comparative effectiveness, health economics, behavioral economics, health psychology, clinical or social epidemiology, medical sociology, and disease prevention.

Successful candidates will be expected to build an established record of independent extramural funding, high-impact publications, and a strong national/international reputation.
