Job Description Summary
Penn Athletics is currently seeking a qualified Head Cheerleading Coach for the 2022-23 season. This position directly reports to the Associate Director of Marketing. Position requirements may include, but are not limited to; enforcing all Spirit Squad policies and procedures and team rules, providing structure and preparation for all practices and games, squad recruitment, program fund raising, and coordinating event and community appearances.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Manage program administration, such as program budget, equipment ordering, and squad travel
  • Lead recruitment of assistant coaches and students on the team
  • Work with the Marketing Department to create community outreach opportunities to expand the Penn Athletics brand throughout the Philadelphia area
  • Identify and execute program revenue generation opportunities in coordination with the Marketing department
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, plus 18-36 months of collegiate cheerleading experience as a participant or coach
  • AACCA Safety Certification
  • Knowledge of all aspects of program management; budgeting, recruiting, scheduling, travel planning, etc.
  • Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to work and attend Penn Athletics events and appearances throughout the year
  • Ability to travel with squad to athletic events including football and basketball away games
