SCAD seeks a full-time professor of game design to join its faculty in Savannah.

In this position, you can use your expertise to encourage innovation and process development while teaching students the practical concepts of the design profession.

The successful candidate is flexible and able to teach within several disciplines of interactive design and game development. The candidate should be experienced in developing interactive media for professional clients and should have shipped video game titles for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms. Proficiency with relevant software is a must, including Adobe Photoshop, Maya, 3D Studio Max, Zbrush, Substance Designer/Painter, and Unreal or Unity. Experience in game art direction, development pipelines, and programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java is a valuable bonus. Ideally, the candidate should also have experience with professional visual art and design production and technical art pipelines in level design, event scripting, particle effects, animation, and shaders.

Requirements
- Terminal degree or its equivalent in game design, computer art, or a related field
- University-level teaching experience, including online coursework development
- Experience developing interactive media for professional clients and/or shipped video games titles for PC, major consoles, and mobile platforms
