Job Description Summary
This position is located in San Francisco.

The Associate Director provides leadership for key strategic initiatives, policies, and priorities for Wharton San Francisco through the design, implementation, oversight, and end-to-end operations for a number of large and important programs and projects on campus, including the Alumni Open Space Program and other strategic programming. Situated within the Operations team, this position serves in a core leadership role that intersects with multiple other teams on campus, including Events, the Front Desk team, as well as constituent departments running programs in San Francisco.

Job Description

The Associate Director serves as the expert on software platforms critical to managing programming on the San Francisco campus, such as S2 (Access Card & Electronic Door Lock System), AdAstra (Campus Scheduling System), Guest Check-In System, and Skedda (GSR Reservations for Students & Alumni). The position requires a high level of judgment and professionalism in cultivating relationships with alumni, students, faculty, staff, and other professionals. The Associate Director is responsible for supervision of Front Desk staff and logistical execution of networking events on campus. This position also requires management of and accountability for operation budget, working closely with the Business Manager to ensure availability of funding to support operations projects . The Associate Director is the key relationship manager of facility projects and issues by working closely with constituents and managing vendors, ensuring good outcomes from the the moment an issue is reported or a project is started, through to the close of that issue or project. This position reports to the Sr. Associate Director for Wharton SF, and works closely with the Executive Director for Wharton SF.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience are required, preferably in a university setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess skill in Microsoft Office software applications: Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook. Must be organized and detail oriented with strong writing skills and a high degree of professionalism. Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, and web platforms such as WordPress are preferred. The successful candidate will be adept with technology, and have the ability to multi-task in a time sensitive, high pressure environment. The position requires occasional evening and weekend work, and is located in San Francisco - relocation reimbursement is not available.
