The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation. Applicants should have sufficient research training experience and the ability to apply for NIH or other extramural sources of research support. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Applicants must be board certified in Internal Medicine. Board eligibility/certification in Cardiovascular Disease and in Advanced Failure and Transplantation is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include training medical students, residents and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient clinical sessions in the heart failure/transplant service and outpatient clinical sessions in the heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and transplant clinic at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading and collaborating in extramurally funded research projects focused on heart failure, transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track.
