Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.* Expertise is required in the specific area of vascular and endovascular surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also hold American Board of Surgery certification and ABS sub-specialty certification in vascular surgery, or be eligible for such certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students, residents, fellows and others in the operating room, on inpatient rounds and in the outpatient clinic.

Clinical responsibilities may include the full range of open vascular and endovascular surgery procedures on both adult and pediatric patients.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include pursuit of clinical and/or basic science research related to vascular surgery. Evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician educator track.

The successful candidate will have equal duties at Penn Medicine's flagship, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the renowned Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and will direct a new pediatric vascular surgery program. Candidates with vascular/endovascular surgery fellowship training will be preferred.
