Job Description Summary
Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt
The Temporary Research Specialist A will serve as laboratory research assistant to assist in laboratory in vivtro and in vivo experiments. Techniques for molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, DNA/RNA/protein analysis, including NGS and dPCR, will be utilized in this supervised research. Management of a laboratory involves ordering supplies, keeping inventories for various experimental reagents, and the maintenance of the laboratory. The position requires a high degree of professionalism in working with laboratory personnel, in performing experimental procedures and in maintaining laboratory organization. Training in intracranial implantation of tumor cells is required. The Temporary Research Specialist A will conduct and minimally analyze experiments (with supervision from the PI and other senior lab members). Studies will involve both in vitro and in vivo molecular biology/biochemistry techniques including but not limited to PCR, dPCR, NGS, animal handling/maintenance, tumor generation and dissection.
Position is temporary and only for a maximum of 9 months.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 0-1 year of experience in Biology is required.
