Job Description Summary

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to manage epidemiologic and clinical studies of cancer prevention and screening. The Data Analyst C will serve as the point-person for all data management activities, including complex linkages to electronic health record data and cancer registry data, preparing data for a variety of studies based on analytic plans, and maintaining data documentation. The Data Analyst C will carry out analyses for research studies and maintain knowledge of multiple statistical software languages in order to work with collaborators. The Data Analyst C will also perform writing, editing, and formatting of manuscripts for publication, assist with patient recruitment and informed consent, and assist with grant preparations (contributing to major federal grant applications and independently writing small internal grants). Additionally, the Data Analyst C will manage recruitment of patients to research studies as needed. The Data Analyst C will perform project management activities, including facilitating study meetings, assisting with onboarding of new staff and students, keeping study documents organized, and implementing new systems to track study progress and timelines, as well as supervise undergraduate and graduate students with research rotations.

Position contingent upon funding.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics or related field with a minimum of two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in epidemiology, public health, and biostatistics or related fields. Master's degree preferred.

  • Required knowledge includes process and data modeling, data architectural development methodology and working knowledge of databases. Experience using data analysis tool and databases.
  • Demonstrated competence in systems analysis and design and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and good communication skills required.
  • Careful attention to detail is required.
  • Proficiency programming in R, STATA, or SAS required
