The University of Pennsylvania Department of Philosophy seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor of Philosophy, starting July 1, 2022. Area of specialization: Kant. Candidates may approach the study of Kant's work from any angle, but the ideal candidate will be able to teach both Kant's theoretical and practical philosophy at the undergraduate and graduate level, offer courses in other areas of modern philosophy (e.g., early modern, German Idealism, or NeoKantian), and further our department's outward facing, multi-disciplinary mission, including contributing to its campus-wide collaborations and public initiatives. Two courses per semester, plus advising and committee work. Ph.D. expected at time of appointment.
