The Workday Operations team is comprised of key roles that support Workday@Penn including configuration, security, reporting, and change management

Job Description

The Workday Learning Analyst / Sr. supports Workday at the University of Pennsylvania through continuous improvement initiatives, and collaboration with subject matter experts and business owners to ensure data integrity and analysis of business processes. This role will work as part of a cross-functional team that supports various HCM modules, including core HCM, benefits, payroll, compensation, time, absence, recruiting and academics.

The primary focus of the Workday Learning Analyst position will be implementation of the Workday Learning module.

Ongoing responsibilities of the Workday Learning Analyst:

  • Troubleshoots issues and provide functional support to Workday users and business owners
  • Oversee the configuration, efficiency, and effectiveness of Workday, specifically the Workday Learning Module
  • Implement system enhancements based on advice from customers and educated recommendations
  • Test changes as well as regression test Workday against releases that are deployed to production
  • Work with team members, subject matter experts and business owners on configuration, business processes, and reporting
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Workday

The Workday Learning Analyst, Sr. will lead the initial Workday Learning implementation.
Ongoing, responsibilities of the Workday Learning Analyst, Sr.:

  • Proactively partner with training providers and business owners to identify opportunities for business process improvement through better leverage or enhancement of existing systems
  • Develop and implement system enhancements based on advice from business owners and educated recommendations.
  • Translate user requirements into system configurations, business processes and reporting
  • Partner with business owners to roll out new functionality and modules to promote HR transformation
  • Test changes as well as regression test Workday against releases that are deployed to production
  • Troubleshoots issues and provide functional
  • Oversee the configuration, efficiency, and effectiveness of Workday, specifically the Workday Learning Module

Workday Learning Analyst
A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The candidate should have knowledge and understanding of business process concepts includes process mapping, design, and workflow.

Workday Learning Analyst, Sr.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four years of experience, including business analysis and project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

This position requires the ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task to develop and produce accurate, professional, and error-free results on a timely basis. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, have a strong attention to detail, and be highly organized. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office application is required.
Experience with Workday, specifically Workday Learning is highly desirable, or equivalent experience with another enterprise level HCM/Learning system. Experience configuring business processes, calculated fields, reporting, reviewing and documenting business processes is desirable. Knowledge of and experience applying employment-related laws and regulations to systems is desired. Experience working in a virtual or matrix reporting structure as well as is desirable. Experience with relational databases is preferred.
