Job Description Summary
The MaC Registrar will maintain an environment for PSOM Master's and Certificate Programs to deliver their academic goals in alignment with best practices and policies aimed at institutional and learner success. MaC includes 13 master's degrees and many affiliated certificate programs. The Registrar will directly support 15 faculty directors, over 20 staff, and 650 students.

The Registrar will oversee several central processes including but not limited to program and course maintenance, student records, the tuition and billing processes, and graduation processing. The Registrar is responsible for central oversight, auditing, and de-risking for all programs. The Registrar is responsible for tuition flow for the complex and various types of student funding such as grants and scholarships and tuition management between schools in combined-degree agreements. The Registrar will be expected to develop, implement, and manage systems to track data, spot trends, and make data-driven recommendations. The Registrar will manage academic system transitions and relevant staff trainings.

The Registrar will lead efforts to maintain and improve academic excellence and operational efficiency. The Registrar will work collaboratively across the PSOM education continuum to standardize and improve policies and procedures that guide management of master's and certificate programs, with respect to admissions and degree requirements, administrative and financial management, compliance with university policies, academic integrity, development and management of combined degrees, and formal program reviews and accreditations. The Registrar will develop policies and procedures to enable the continued growth of combined-degree programs. The Registrar will develop MOUs for senior leadership to create and maintain combined degree programs across 7 other schools within Penn. A key skill is to be able to develop creative solutions to address academic needs within existing parameters. The Registrar is charged with effectively communicating Penn and PSOM policies, guidelines, and initiatives to program faculty and staff.

The Registrar will report to the Director of Education, supervise two Program Coordinators, and importantly, collaborate with the individual Program Directors and Staff. The Registrar will actively represent MaC to central university entities such as the Provost's office, Registrar, and Financial Aid.

Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's Degree and 5-7 years preferred.

Salary: The job pay range encompasses the full range of employees from new hires to the salaries of Penn employees with many years of experience and seniority and is not a precise indicator of salaries of new hires when looking at the top end. Based on what we pay employees coming into this position our pay range is $78,000- $85,000, based on education and experience above the minimum qualifications.
