Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream Contractually Limited Term Appointment (CLTA) Statistical Sciences

The Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto invites applications for a contractually-limited term appointment (CLTA) in Statistical Sciences. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream beginning September 1, 2019 for a oneyear term ending August 31, 2020.

Applicants must have a Masters degree in actuarial science, statistics, biostatistics or related discipline with a PhD preferred, by the time of appointment. Applicants must also have significant experience in teaching a variety of University level courses in either actuarial science or statistics; able to demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and development of online material/lectures; and have a commitment to pedagogical research and professional development. Experience teaching large classes and using innovative technology is an asset. We seek applicants who complement and strengthen our existing departmental strengths.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
