As a School of Film and Television administrative assistant, you will promptly support student needs and answer all questions. In initiatives and ongoing collaborative projects, you will support departmental leadership - including the dean, office of academic services, associate vice president, executive director, and academic operations manager. Your responsibilities will include classroom scheduling, extended learning opportunity and workshop scheduling, SCAD Day building preparations, and serving as the point of contact for physical resources. You will also manage incoming mail and routine correspondences, maintain an organized file/records system, and manage the calendars/schedules of department leaders.
In this position, you handle alumni and professional mentor visitations, including itinerary curation and travel arrangements. Greeting and directing visitors to appropriate areas and the management of supply inventories and equipment maintenance will be required. You will manage display spaces with departmental leadership to showcase outstanding student work by coordinating with the physical resources and housekeeping teams to make buildings student ready. As the administrative assistant, you will schedule department meetings, prepare agendas, reserve facilities, and record/transcribe minutes. Additional duties in this role include the coordination of quarterly reports from faculty to create a draft for leadership approval, the management of end-of-quarter documentation processes, and overseeing the communications team as it photographs outstanding student work.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Banner. The successful candidate should be adept at managing multiple priorities and committed to upholding professionalism, honesty, and integrity in all aspects of work.

- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Microsoft Office software suite (specifically Word and Excel), BANNER, or a similar database experience

- Ability to manage multiple priorities
