As the departmental administrative assistant, you will support the department leadership with initiatives and ongoing collaborative projects. Responsibilities include maintaining classroom scheduling, event prep, managing department leaders' calendars/schedules, completing paperwork, ordering and maintaining office supplies, and collaborating with housekeeping to ensure the building is student ready. You will greet scheduled visitors and direct them to the appropriate area while supporting the academic operations manager.
This role requires undertaking the arrangement of department meetings and preparing agendas, coordinating quarterly report submissions, supporting end of quarter responsibilities for department leaders, and the supporting the university's operation showcase. You will be expectedto support the department with classes, ELO's, workshop scheduling, and university events; direct mail; compose correspondence and maintain a file system.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with at least one year of related experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite software and BANNER or a similar database
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a commitment to professionalism, honesty, and integrity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Adobe certifies or competency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Successful work experience in an academic environment
Travel required:
- Less than 10%
