As a SCADamp communications coach you will promote and deliver various trainings and professional development opportunities to support students, alumni, faculty, and staff. In this position, you will help students effectively articulate compelling content to a variety of audiences and will help them adapt their interpersonal communication to maximize opportunities. As a communications coach, you will conduct weekly classroom visits to observe and provide feedback, maintain a calendar of one-on-one visits, and train/coach other staff or faculty as well. This position supports university initiatives and events such as orientations and SCAD Days and will offer programming to external audiences if requested by the director of SCADamp.
The SCADamp communications coach must maintain accurate records/data and archives while conducting surveys to measure student needs. You will be expected to be knowledgeable on presentation and communication efficacy and visual communication skills. Collaboration across multiple departments is required.

Travel Required: 10% to 20%
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficiency in public speaking
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional work ethic
- Ability to work independently/collaboratively and prioritize projects
- Experience in an innovative, fast-paced, professional environment
- Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with internal and executive constituents
- Experience communicating with diverse audiences
- Proficiency with professional presentation software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in communication, mass communication, English, performing arts, or related field
- Significant presentation coaching, acting, or performance experience
