Part Time Professor, Film and Television

SCAD seeks an experienced, part-time professor of film and television to join its faculty in historic Savannah, GA. In this role, you will help prepare the next generation of visual media professionals.

SCAD film and television students are immersed in a creative studio environment where cutting-edge technology and academic and professional instruction enable them to create award-winning media. Student productions have been screened at premier film festivals around the world, including the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, the Los Angeles Film Festival, and South by Southwest.

Note:The part-time professor is not guaranteed a specific number of courses or title of any course. Assignments for classes are on an as-needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Terminal degree in film and television or related field
  • Experience or knowledge of related industries

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience at the collegiate level

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
  • Ability to be credentialed through SACS guidelines or justified to teach

Travel required:
  • Less than 10%

Work Hours: As noted in the Employment Agreement.
