Research and Data Analyst

As the analyst you will be responsible for assisting with data reporting needed for internal ad-hoc requests, external survey requests, institutional census file records, IPEDS requirements, annual reports, and accreditation submissions. In this role you will perform data collection and analysis to produce the annual reports for the U.S. Department of Education and other institutions. You will utilize statistics and analysis methodologies to identify trends and patterns while acquiring a deep understanding of university data to apply best practices when working with databases, tables, and reporting tools. In this role you will collaborate with multiple departments and individuals to ensure quality, validity, and consistency in all reports.

Minimum Qualifications:   
  • Bachelor's degree in information management or related field
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with knowledge of Banner, Cognos, and higher education processes/policies
  • Understanding of and experience with relational databases and data mining
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in higher education or business setting

Travel Required:
  • Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
