The director of the digital media center must be an exceptional leader with a wealth of experience in the film and television industry. In this role, you will establish strategic partnerships and cultivate a robust network within the vibrant Atlanta film and TV industry. You will play a pivotal role in amplifying student achievements, facilitating opportunities for students to engage in external client projects, and showcasing SCAD's top-notch facilities and expertise.
As the director, you will collaborate with external production companies to understand project requirements and expectations and then develop a comprehensive project schedule, budget, and production plan in alignment with project goals and resources available within the volume stage. Responsibilities include coordinating the allocation of resources within the volume stage; collaborating with the finance and production teams to develop and manage a budget; and fostering effective communication and collaboration between internal teams, external production partners, and SCAD students.In this position, you are expected to maintain high standards of quality and professionalism in all projects produced within the volume stage, implementing best practices to achieve exceptional outcomes and client satisfaction.
Additionally, you will guide and mentor SCAD students, nurturing their skills and ensuring a valuable learning experience. You will advocate for opportunities that showcase student talent and contributions within the industry.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in film production or media studies with proven experience as a line producer or similar role
- Extensive network and contacts within the Atlanta film and TV industry
- Strong project management, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Travel required:
- 10% to 20%
