Assistant Director of Admission, China

As the assistant director of admission, you will manage a caseload of an assigned territory, focusing on high-strategic-fit public and private high schools and boarding schools within that region. You will then follow up with prospective students to discuss their interests and address inquiries. Your responsibilities will include participating in LivePerson and online chat sessions to reach students at various points throughout the admission cycle, attending special events, delivering compelling presentations that showcase all SCAD has to offer, and reviewing applications to ensure completion. The assistant director offers personalized admission counseling to guide prospective students and their families through the enrollment process and must maintain accurate records of recruitment activities within their assigned territory.

This position requires the ability to travel extensively to represent SCAD to prospective students, fostering ongoing professional and institutional relationships. This includes participation in school-specific events, information sessions, and other recruitment events. The ideal candidate will remain knowledgeable about all university policies and procedures to effectively communicate accurate information about the university.

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Passion for art and design education

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Banner and Salesforce
  • Previous experience in college admissions, student recruitment, or a related field

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: 
  • Valid driver's license
  • Passport

Travel required: Over 50%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
