As a motion graphics designer, you will support the supervising producer in the production of high-quality videos and social media initiatives to promote SCAD's president, SCAD signature and special events, and university initiatives. You will also assist with producing titles, graphics, computer animation, and special effects for all video and web productions produced by the executive media department, as well as performing digital compositing, special effects, and unwanted artifact removal. All work will maintain the graphic identity of SCAD and all executive media productions.
In this role, you will select, edit, and incorporate third-party content as needed; work with visual media and executive media editors to ensure media is received and named; post files for review and delivery using web interfaces, such as Frame.io; and archive and maintain the graphics database. You will also be responsible for keeping current on web graphic programs and compatibility issues for QuickTime, Real Player, and Windows Media.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in fine arts, multimedia production, or film with relevant technical training and experience in motion graphics design and production
- At least five years of experience in video and digital content development with strong capabilities in motion graphics and video production
- Strong eye for and experience with graphic design, illustration, and visuals
- Proficiency in illustration and animation, especially 2D animation
- Proficiency in motion graphics software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Mocha AE, and Cinema 4D
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Frame.io, ClickUp, Slack, and the back end of YouTube
- 3D modeling proficiency
- Knowledge of art, pop culture, entertainment, social media content creation, and concept pitching
