Ombudsperson

As an ombudsperson, you will be a neutral, independent, and confidential resource for the entire SCAD community, including students, faculty, and staff of the Savannah, Atlanta, Lacoste, and SCADnow university communities. You will effect positive change through recommendations related to recurring problems to the appropriate vice president and meetings with appropriate administrators to update policies and procedures as needed. You will maintain a database of issues addressed and preserve confidentiality by regularly expunging phone and email records, among other duties.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related discipline
  • Three years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Certification or training in media and/or conflict resolution

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
