The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of palliative and/or cancer care. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible.

Teaching responsibilities may include leading multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams and providing high quality education for students, residents and allied professionals.

Clinical responsibilities may include working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide the highest level of interdisciplinary care to a wide range of patients in both inpatient and outpatient care settings. The selected candidate will also have responsibilities in the Palliative Care service at Penn Medicine.

Selected candidates need excellent clinical training, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to furthering our clinical services and advancing our academic missions. Practice locations may include any of the Penn Medicine rehabilitation sites. Selected candidates must bring well developed technical skills and be able to lead an effective multidisciplinary team. As an academic faculty member, the successful candidate must have well developed educational skills for medical student and resident teaching.
